
ABOUT ME


Kalif Fuller is a director who’s obsessed with storytelling, collaboration, and the entire filmmaking process. From the intentionality of characters to the technical mechanism of filmmaking tools, Kalif is consumed by the craft.
He was born and raised in Denver, CO, and attended the University of Kansas, where he first began to learn directing and the overall filmmaking process, graduating with a B.G.S. in Film and Media Studies. After college, Kalif moved to Los Angeles and began working on studio films and television shows, including David Fincher’s Mindhunter, MANK, and The Killer; Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice; and Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book.
Kalif’s 2022 short film, Someone To Destroy, was an official selection of the 26th annual LA Shorts International Film Festival, an official selection as “Shorts of the Day” for both competitive online short cinema platforms Film Shortage and Shorted, and a participant in the market video library for the Palm Springs International ShortFest. He has directed short films that have been officially licensed by ShortsTV in both the US and Latin American territories and has also directed local Los Angeles community-based film projects. Kalif’s latest short film, Family Business, was penned by W.G.A. writer Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, The Killer) and is currently in the festival submission process.
He is currently writing his first feature film, developing his 9th short film, and looking to direct more commercial and branded content work as well. Kalif resides in Los Angeles, California.
